Who are we?
TCFSE is a not for profit organisation which works for a better society where everyone has equal rights, opportunities, and access to resources, so they can live a better life regardless of their background or characteristics.
What do we do?
We work with community minded individuals and groups with passion and ideas for solutions to fix challenges in society. Through mentoring, support, an online presence, promotion and help with fundraising, we help them to create change for good.
What Problem Are We Trying to Solve?
Our campaigns and programmes focus on addressing inequalities related to specific social issues and other inequalities in society. These can be anything which causes inequality, including poverty, lack of affordable housing, mental health issues, lack of social support, and difficulties accessing services.
What are we trying to achieve?
We work to improve the quality of life in the UK and the wider world by reducing economic and social inequality and by encouraging a fairer society.
People are angry about how unfair society has become. This anger becomes simmering resentment which eventually boils over and leads to confrontations, protests, riots and violence. We seek to redirect this into positive social action which in turn can improve equality and fairness in society.
How do we achieve this?
- TFCS promotes campaigns and initiatives which highlight wrongs and inequality in society.
- TCFSE raises funds to support peaceful social action campaigns and practical solutions.
- TCFSE provides digital support services for social entrepreneurs, non profit groups and charities.
- TCFSE provides a repository of ideas, campaigns, research reports and resources to effect positive societal change.
- TCFSE provides mentoring which helps people to build their communities from grass roots level.
What difference will it make?
People in fairer societies live longer, have better mental health, better chances for a good education and careers with higher income prospects.
Quality of life is better when the income gap is narrower and society is more equal. Communities are stronger, children do better at school, people trust each other more, crime is reduced, rates of imprisonment are lower, poverty is reduced and people lead more fulfilling lives.
By supporting and helping to create campaigns and programmes for social good we seek to reduce violence, change attitudes and effect positive changes which improve equality and fairness in society both short and long term.
